LOGANSPORT - Council Chambers was packed, and discussion was heated at times, as the future of the Logansport Fire Department, and ways to trim about two million dollars from the city budget were talked about. STARTING A NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

LOGANSPORT - Through a cooperative effort, involving the United Way of Cass County, Cass County Emergency Management Agency, and a grant from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, a Neighborhood Watch program has been established. LOGAN MAN INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT

LOGANSPORT - A 65 year old Logansport man was injured Tuesdayafternoon when the motorcycle he was driving collided with an S-U-V. The S-U-V was driven by 35 year old woman from Young America. Cox was taken to Logansport Memorial Hospital, and then flown to Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne for treatment, and is listed in fair condition.

CASS COUNTY - The Cass County Commissioners have approved the three members who will serve on the board for the Cass Fire District Number one: Richard Jackson from Eel Township, Sherman Kantzer from Clay Township and Mike Simms from Noble Township. STAYING BUSY IN MINNESOTA

CASS COUNTY - One person who wanted to attend the Cass County 4-H fair was not be able to make it. The 2008 Miss Cass County, Jenna Langley, is working on a internship in Minnesota. She has also been chosen as a member of the Agriculture Future of America Student Advisory Team.
